These Terms of Service govern your use of Laço, operated by Conversationalist Duo (Adam Galarneau), including its mobile application, website, and supporting services. By using Laço, you agree to these terms.
Using Laço
Laço provides translation, communication, and conversation-support tools. You are responsible for how you use the service and for reviewing translations, explanations, and generated replies before relying on or sending them. The service may make mistakes and is not a substitute for your own judgment.
Profiles and connections
You may create a Laço profile using a display name, optional avatar, and language preferences. Only connect with people you know or trust. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and for the content sent from your profile.
Acceptable use
Do not use Laço to break the law, infringe another person's rights, impersonate others, distribute harmful or abusive content, harass anyone, or interfere with the service. Do not attempt to access another person's profile, conversations, or data without permission. You must have the consent of people whose messages, images, video, or voice you share through the service.
Safety and reports
Laço conversations are intended for people who choose to connect with one another. We may suspend or end access when we reasonably believe these terms have been violated or when needed to protect people or the service. To report abusive content or behavior, use the Support link in the app or email conversationalistduo@gmail.com with the subject line “Laço safety report.”
Your content
You retain rights to the content you submit. You give us permission to process that content only as needed to operate Laço, including to translate, transcribe, explain, deliver, and display it to the connected people you choose. You must have the necessary rights and permissions for any content you submit.
Availability and changes
We may change, pause, or discontinue features to maintain, improve, or protect Laço. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available or error-free.
Ending use and deleting data
You may stop using Laço at any time. You may delete your profile and associated data in the app or use our account deletion page if you cannot access the app. We may suspend or end access when these terms are violated or when reasonably necessary to protect the service or its users.
Disclaimers and limits
Laço is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties not expressly stated in these terms. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Laço.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Laço changes. The current version will be posted at this address. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
