This whole thing began when I met the most amazing and funny person in the world: Samanta. This app is for her and me, first and foremost. I hope she likes it.

WHY LAÇO
A name for the bond we are building.
Laço is Portuguese for a bond—a tie, a connection, something that holds. It felt like the right name for the space Sam and I were making: a place for the words, the feeling, and the life we are sharing.
We made this for our own conversations first. If it helps another couple find each other a little more easily, that would mean a lot to us.
We called it Conversationalist Duo at first. Our son could not say it, so “Convo Duo” became the nickname. Laço is the name that finally felt like us.

The conversation should not disappear behind the tool.
Laço keeps the words, the context, the media, and the relationship in the same place—so sharing feels more like living your life together and less like managing translation.
